The security office works very hard to keep all of the students and faculty members safe, students not having fobs is not only putting themselves in more danger. It puts students in danger because if there is ever a threat outside on campus and students seek for shelter, they will not get in without a fob. An emergency can be anything from weather, chemical spill, suspicious individuals and armed individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently\u00a0many\u00a0public\u00a0schools\u00a0around\u00a0the\u00a0area\u00a0have\u00a0been\u00a0getting\u00a0bomb\u00a0threats,\u00a0luckily\u00a0none\u00a0came\u00a0to\u00a0Wyoming\u00a0Seminary\u00a0but\u00a0security\u00a0expresses\u00a0that\u00a0everyone\u00a0knows\u00a0the\u00a0procedure\u00a0just\u00a0in\u00a0case\u00a0but\u00a0students\u00a0will\u00a0be\u00a0locked\u00a0out\u00a0of\u00a0buildings\u00a0without\u00a0a\u00a0fob.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0head\u00a0of\u00a0security\u00a0and\u00a0former\u00a0state\u00a0trooper\u00a0Matthew\u00a0Grebeck\u00a0puts\u00a0in\u00a0a\u00a0lot\u00a0of\u00a0work\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0safety\u00a0of\u00a0faculty\u00a0and\u00a0students,\u00a0he\u00a0said,\u00a0\u201cFobs\u00a0also\u00a0dictate\u00a0who\u00a0is\u00a0allowed\u00a0to\u00a0access\u00a0certain\u00a0buildings\u00a0through\u00a0authorization.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fobs\u00a0are\u00a0not\u00a0only\u00a0for\u00a0students\u00a0to\u00a0be\u00a0able\u00a0to\u00a0enter\u00a0the\u00a0buildings\u00a0but\u00a0for\u00a0people\u00a0to\u00a0not\u00a0enter\u00a0the\u00a0building.\u00a0If\u00a0you\u00a0ever\u00a0see\u00a0a\u00a0suspicious\u00a0person\u00a0on\u00a0campus\u00a0and\u00a0they\u00a0try\u00a0to\u00a0act\u00a0as\u00a0if\u00a0they\u00a0belong\u00a0in\u00a0a\u00a0building,\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0let\u00a0them\u00a0in!\u00a0They\u00a0can\u00a0cause\u00a0great\u00a0danger\u00a0to\u00a0everyone\u00a0in\u00a0that\u00a0specific\u00a0building,\u00a0thankfully\u00a0due\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0Security\u00a0team,\u00a0people\u00a0are\u00a0seen\u00a0walking\u00a0onto\u00a0campus\u00a0before\u00a0potentially\u00a0trying\u00a0to\u00a0do\u00a0something\u00a0they\u00a0shouldn\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another\u00a0occurring\u00a0issue\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0security\u00a0at\u00a0Wyoming\u00a0Seminary\u00a0is\u00a0day\u00a0students\u00a0registering\u00a0their\u00a0cars.\u00a0Grebeck\u00a0said,\u00a0\u201cvehicles\u00a0parked\u00a0on\u00a0campus\u00a0property\u00a0need\u00a0to\u00a0be\u00a0registered\u00a0so\u00a0the\u00a0security\u00a0department\u00a0can\u00a0identify\u00a0\u00a0who\u00a0the\u00a0vehicle\u00a0belongs\u00a0to\u00a0in\u00a0case\u00a0of\u00a0an\u00a0emergency.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An\u00a0emergency\u00a0in\u00a0this\u00a0case\u00a0would\u00a0be\u00a0somebody\u00a0illegally\u00a0parked,\u00a0car\u00a0broken\u00a0into\u00a0and\u00a0damage\u00a0to\u00a0their\u00a0vehicle.\u00a0If\u00a0there\u00a0is\u00a0not\u00a0a\u00a0sticker\u00a0on\u00a0the\u00a0back\u00a0of\u00a0an\u00a0illegally\u00a0parked\u00a0vehicle\u00a0that\u00a0says\u00a0Wyoming\u00a0Seminary,\u00a0security\u00a0will\u00a0not\u00a0know\u00a0that\u00a0they\u00a0can\u00a0save\u00a0a\u00a0student\u00a0from\u00a0getting\u00a0their\u00a0car\u00a0towed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>by Brady Wood &#8217;24 Wyoming Seminary Upper School has a recurring issue with students not having fobs and student cars not being registered to the school.
